What awesome things are you up to now?

I am continuing my study at Imperial College London. I am getting a Master’s degree in Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Management. I am planning to get an internship (hopefully) in the UK and then start my career in Jakarta.

How are you involved on campus?

I was in charge of Communication for PERMIAS Madison during my freshman year. I also participated in BRIDGE program. BRiDGE matches an international student with a local student. Through BRIDGE, I met a really good friend that I still communicate until now. From sophomore year until senior year, I was active in Food Science Club. Throughout my career in the Food Science Club, I was a co-chair for Outreach Committee and a Historian. I was also a part of a Product Development Team in the Food Science Club. I participated in International Internship Program (IIP) which led me to my internship in Wuerzburg, Germany.

In addition, I volunteered with Badger Catholics for Pregnancy Helpline where I sorted out clothes, prepared diapers, and baby formula for pregnant women and new mothers.

What's your favorite thing about Madison and the UW?

My favorite thing about Madison is the fact that UW Madison is a college town so it is really big for a campus but small for a town. Almost everywhere is a walking distance, from classes, to restaurants, to student union, and even entertainment. UW Madison has so many things to offer, both in academics and extracurricular activities. Whatever your passion is, UW Madison has a community for you. I love that about Madison because it allows me to have hobbies and to grow as a person.

What about your favorite thing about Permias Madison?

My favorite thing about PERMIAS Madison is the family culture and the friendliness of the members. The Indonesian community reminds me of the language I speak, the land I come from, and of course, family.

One-liner advice for future Badgers?

Don’t be afraid to try new things. Explore organizations and opportunities. Every experience is a good experience and you can most certainly learn from it. When you graduate, you will look back and it may take you by surprise that even the darkest times become a sweet memory.
