Graduation date: May 2021

What awesome things are you up to now?

I am currently training my left hand to play billiard and table tennis to the same standard as my right hand. I am also training for the Waisman 10K running event in October with hopes of beating my personal record last year. When I’m not doing these things, I am probably studying math and dynamics since I am taking summer classes.

How are you involved on campus?

I joined the UW-Madison Baja SAE team in the fall of 2017. This was an engineering club which served as a way for students to develop their skills in teamwork, problem-solving and applying math and science in designing an off-road vehicle called the Baja. My job was designing the hood of the vehicle using a computer program with 2 other people. In that semester, I was also a member of the Master’s Choir, which is part of the School of Music, until December 2017. We performed in concert halls twice throughout the semester and once at Luther Memorial for a winter concert. As of January 2018, I am a member of the Chant Choir at St. Paul’s Catholic Church and perform hymns for mass every Sunday.

What's your favorite thing about Madison and the UW?

I love how you can have fun on State Street and around the downtown area, and afterwards, you can chill near the lake within 20 minutes of walking. Having both so close to each other definitely helps me emotionally. I really like that the UW has strong academic programs outside of engineering. As a result, I am able to meet awesome people who are highly motivated and take fun classes in subjects that I’m interested in such as Psychology.

What about your favorite thing about Permias Madison?

I love the bond that all the members of Permias Madison have with each other. Although we sometimes don’t communicate well, at the end of the day we are one solid team. I also cherish the inside jokes and laughter that we share together.

One-liner advise for future Badgers?

Remember why you came here, whether it is to study or to gain new experiences. Be open-minded about stuff but always remember your priorities.
